Questions
About UK deadlines.
How are the dates worked out?
From a few details you enter (type of business, year end, VAT and payroll) and the standard rules published on GOV.UK. Each date links to its rule. A letter from HMRC or Companies House, or your accountant, takes precedence.
Can an accountancy practice track its clients?
Yes. Add up to 50 businesses, each with its own details. Filter by client, tick each date when it is done, and download every date into Outlook, Google or Apple calendars.
What is not covered?
VAT annual accounting, first accounts after a company is set up, large companies' Corporation Tax instalments and anything HMRC has told a business individually. The page says so beside the dates.
